Can't comment on this card since I've never used it, but after trying a Radeon I won't go back to Geforce cards unless Nvidia can improve the 2D quality of their output. Switching from a Geforce to a Radeon has been something of a revelation to me in terms of making my CRT screen display more readable text and more vivid colors.

An AIW radeon 7500 is faster, more feature filled, and a better choice at this price.

I owned the first personal cinema that came out, based on the mx400, the external box with the tv tuner and connections is a great idea, and the tv tuner had really good picture and quality. Gaming it was a little week, with that and my old tbird 850mhz, i could only run today's games "QIII, UT2003, GTA) in 800X600X16bit... I had an original radeon AIW before that, and it was awful, kept crashing my computer. But ATI's drivers have come a long way since then, and that was on 98(NOT SE).

Mudd, you said switching to a radeon made your colors more vivid? Mine got less vivid on my monitor, I just got a 9500PRO a few weeks ago, my mx400 was much more vivid, and it had the setting for "digital vibrance" or something, that beefed up the color a lot. Does the radeon have a similar setting?

You can adjust the red, blue, and green color curves, and also the color saturation, hue, gamma, etc with the current radeon drivers. The biggest difference I've noticed with the radeon is the sharpness of text which remains consistent on all display settings. When I put the radeon in my machine it was getting a new higher res monitor, even though my monitor settings haven't changed.

I've heard many other people comment on the sharp 2D image quality of radeons, and my experience confirms this. I'm not a gamer and can't comment on the gaming acceleration of the radeon/geforce cards.

Ok deal.

I got a NIB Asus V7100 Deluxe Combo for $36 shipped last week. Based on the same chipset and 32MB RAM, doesn't have the remote, but did come with 3D glasses.

So, there are better deals out there for this type of card.
