is that agp? cause the pci-e versions have been cheaper than that

if your getting agp, look for a 6800 vanilla, you have a chance of unlocking and at stock its neck and neck with the 6600gt

its pci, im realy looking for the best video card i can buy without spending $200 on it and a power suply. any seggestions?

my power supply is 300w but i think il'll need more if i get any of the 66 or 6800 and a 450w supply is only like 30 bucks or so.

X800 Pro from ATI. Check the Hot Deals forum. That'll eat a 6600GT for lunch. Not a 6800GT, but a 6600GT, yes 🙂

i hear good things about the 6600GT so ill just go with that and a thermaltake powersupply for 40 bucks. gerand total $190.00 + shipping

And I would skip that PS and get the rosewill value 450W PS or even the 400W. A little more or a little cheaper, but more or the same power with more connectors you're going to need (SATA, 24 Pin ATX) and a fan you can control. With those cheap Thermaltakes it seems hit or miss whether or not it is quiet.

You can get a x800 for under $200 now, and it will eat a 6600gt for luch too. Unless you absolutely must have SM3, in that case just get a 6600gt - I'm still surprised they're selling for $150 when you can get more powerful cards for that price. A 6800 is also a better choice than a 6600gt, because even though the pcie versions dont unlock, you can OC it and it will be significantly faster than a 6600gt.

That power color X800 dips under $150 for days at a time and should be a very nice card and about 20-30% faster than the 6600GT across the board until both are crippled by there 128 megs of local ram.

You have an AGP slot, so just by the AGP version, although $139 really isnt a great deal since they can be found for that price w/o a rebate.

Zipzoomfly has the MSI 800X for 119 after rebate and the visiontek x800 for 129-134 after rebate shipped. Both are 128mb cards and are PCIe

These are the best deals on vanilla X800 cards right now. I have an ATI OEM card which is essentially identical to the Visiontek model. Overclocked it to 425/425 and it gets about 4200 in 3Dmark05.
