GF4 ti4400 Error,help:An error occurred while Windows was working with the control panel file C:\WINNT\System32\desk.cpl

WHen i installed my gf4 ti4400 and then installed the nvidia reference drivers(28.32) everything looked ok
-but when i go to Properties, then advanced(to access all the color and brightness, and openGL/direct3d antialiasing stuff) i get this error:

An error occurred while Windows was working with the control panel file C:\WINNT\System32\desk.cpl

i have uninstalled, reinstall with tons of different drivers.. same thing everytime. Somebody help me.

Is there a way to totally remove all drivers form your comp, like all of the files from System32\ put there by the driver. because i dont think they are getting removed.

can someone help me?
 
Re-download them from nvidia site. You got it before, and they had forgotten to put that file in the driver pack. Its in there now, all you have to do is re-download it ( its same version) and install that instead.
