GF4 MX420 Taskbar problems in XP.

So i got an GF4 MX420 and installed it. After i installed it everything was fine and i wen't to update my drivers to 40.72. after the installation finished and it restarted, i had no taskbar. I tried hititng the windows key and nothing happened. I tried going to control panel/appearance and themes and went to start menu and taskbar and nothing popped up. I was messing around and seen an option to roll back to previous installed driver. so i did that and now i still have no task bar. Help please im out of ideas.

You need to do an in-place repair of Windows XP.
Start the installation of Windows XP, but select the option to "Repair the existing installation".
This replaces all of the Windows files, while leaving all your installed programs and data intact.

Thats the problem, My computer is an emachine and it didn't come with the windows xp cd, it was already installed and all it came with was a Emachine Restore CD. i'm not sure what that is.

Just popped in the restore cd and all it is is drivers for my sound card etc.
