Notice a diff ?? im gonna yoink the 9200SE from work for weekend to see diff.. My mx200 runs CSS soo smooth but its dx7 i need something till i get my 6800GT 🙂 or x800 pro

If you could possibly pick a card *worse* than the GF2MX200, the 9200SE might be it. It is by FAR the worst-performing 3D card currently on the market, losing to even the 64-bit FX5200.

Just for future reference don't ever buy cards with SE or LE next to there name. ATI & Nvidia will tell you otherwise but the SE stands for slow edition or sucky edition & the LE really stands for Lame Edition & Loser edition.

haha crap it I open the box and theres a GF4 MX440 haha eqg#^#^#!^ i wanted a card with DX8 or 9 i just wanna see bumpmapping effects in CSS!!!!

1st off he said 8 or 9. But u are correct on your statment.

Secondly, bumpmapping is a dx5 feature i believe. (maybe its up to 6, but no higher) Maybe u mean "normal mapping" or "displacment mapping" or "pixel shaders" or something like that.

Upon further reading, certian types of bumpmapping are only enabled in dx8 on up. Some of the types of bumpmapping that the source engine uses are only enabled by these dx8 on up cards. Thus, i stand corrected by myself. 🙂
-Oh and it was dx6.0
