GF100 Previews from Digital Experience

Meh. I'm not paying much attention until g3d/anand posts hard info 😛

Good to see none the less.

1x8pin 1x6pin on a single 40nm GPU? Potential 300w TDP? Wow, that's some heavy stuff right here. Still no numbers or benchmarks? Oh well, it's still a couple of months away, I'll just have to be patient.

Or it could be dual gpu? Hence lack of excitement =/

yeah there's no way that thing has 300w potential with a single 40nm gpu. i mean, i don't think...unless it has a multifan cooler and gobs and gobs of memory...

I seriously doubt Nvidia would have a Dual-GPU Fermi-based product up for show at this time.

Could be this is an early engineering sample and they are working on reducing power usage on the "real" deal.

I suspect some sort of 'gobs and gobs of memory' + multicore gpu/sli emulation. But even then what will it hit? 200w tops? It's not like you can compare it apples to apples to cpu architecture of the same size to make accurate forum speculations 😀

Interesting , But I seen the ATI video of the same thing . But I seen much more in this Video. When toggleling between Tessal. On Off. What were all those horried lines when it was on?

I don't see what you mean. Do you have any specific time when it happen during the video? I may have a too slow eyesight (which is very possible), but I don't see anything wrong with it. The only extra lines I see when it's on are the extra mesh from tessellation itself...

I think he's referring to the wire frame. Which you can enable/disable in the benchmark.

Still no performance figures? Is there anyone left out there who can possibly spin this as a good thing?

If it outperformed Cypress in any way in its current incarnation we'd already know about it.
