This could be a good thing. Imagine things like christmas parties and company picnics. Imagine getting 'employee discounts'.

If you had a sister or daughter, then would you want it?

are you talking about the owners? certainly a floor manager won't make 6 figures

So she went to respond to an ad that said "national francise needs club owner" without saying what kind of club or the name of the club. I told her to just check it out, maybe it's a cool club (not even thinking it might be a strip club)

she shows up, and there's a couple strippers out front smoking! they ask if she's there for the position, she says 'yes' and they look at her outfit (she's wearing business attire) and they go "oh, for the management position...go inside"

she goes in, and this big fat guy who has a huge chaw in his mouth goes "yeah, we need a female manager as the male manager can't keep their d!cks in their pants"

he tell her more details, maybe for a position in one of the high class strip clubs in town.

he said he would suggest her to his boss for another interview monday and talk about benefits and pay rate.

i told her to go, as i'm curious how much they would pay! what would you do?
Stay at home and wait for the g-f to bring some work home with her!!

That's kinda how I got hired at a strip club where I live now. NOTE do not work there anymore but did for a few years. Got out of the AF, was finishing college and decided to look for a night job. Thought working at a club as a bartender or something might be worth it so grabbed the phone book, looked up night club and went down the list of places and numbers. Got to All Stars Sports Club, and the lady on the other end of the line said they were hiring and to come in a fill out an application fast because they usually don't have open positions long. So I got the directions and said I 'd be right over.

Got dressed in my suit and tie real fast, figuring it might be an upscale place. Drove over there, and noticed the parking lot looked fairly full for being only noon time during the middle of the week. Figured, man this place must rock and was seeing dollar signs in my head thinking of the tips to come.

Go to open the door to walk in and BAMM boobies in my face. Okay, there was a HUGE poster behind the door of a topless girl with some big mammaries. I'm sure the look on my face at that point was probably priceless. I almost turned to bolt out the door (hey I'm a geek!!!) when the manager comes around the corner from the hallway leading into the club. He notices me, walks over and starts asking me questions. Basically asks when I can start, I said as soon as available and he asks 7 tonight? I said sure and he says well time to start filling out paper work!

It was an interesting environment and you get to learn quite a bit in terms of life experiences there. Oh well, I enjoyed it for the time being until I had to leave (forced surgery for 6 months prevented me from working) and wouldn't mind doing it all over again. Did I get it on with strippers? Nope. Why? 99% of them are married and with kids and usually when you see them in the light without tons of makeup on.... ugh. Then when you get to know them.. double ugh for b!tchy personalities. There were a few exceptions for a few chicks there that were cool in terms of hanging out, but I'd still never do one of them. That and they were more into the managers, not the bartenders or doormen usually.

What I DID like is the money that I could sometimes walk away with. When I worked the door I got paid $10 an hour at the time and vallet tips or door tips + $1 from every girl in the club that worked during my shift. Some nights I walked away with $500 in tips + my normal hourly wage. When I worked behind the bar, it was all tips with the $2.13 tip wage and I could make some mad cas of $200-$400 a night on average. This was sometimes more then most of the girls except the super hot ones with regulars that made major cash.

What I made was chump change to th managers though as they get beer profits, food profits, and a MUCH bigger tip out from the DJ and all the girls. If your girl gets to work at a busy strip place she could make alot of money so long as she doesn't get involved with the seedier sides (see usually the slutty stripper chicks and occasionally a$$hat managers). I worked in a good place and beside what some people would view as questionable entertainment (see boobies) it wasn't really anything bad to the place. If any "illegal" events were partaken by individuals that worked at the club it was WELL AWAY from the club.

Naw, club closed at 2AM on the dot every day except sunday's when it was 1AM. Get enough traffic in there with some good looking girls, and the money flies around to just about everyone (except the unlucky few "uglier" girls if there are any). It can get really busy and 99% of the time, I rarely noticed there was topless girls all around me. You just get desensitized to it I guess.

from a business and money making standpoint i think it could be a good opportunity. but, i dont really like the type of clientele that industry attracts, so that might persuade me to look at other options too.

right, and what if you decide to do, i don't know, financial advising later? wouldn't this look shady on a resume? or would they go, "oh, i see you have initiative and dont' mind taking charge in any environment?"

This would not look shady on a resume. It looks like excellent mangement experiance. A few overly zelous fanantics might not hire you because you 'supported a exploitive industry' or some such, but I would think that most managers will reconize how difficult it is to manage such an establishment and reconize that if she can handle that job she can handle just about any other.

Personally I would take the job, remember if she doesn't like it she can always quit.

My g/f went on an interview that turned out to be for an escort service! The lady liked the sound of her voice and wanted her to answer phones and set up appointments there. 😀 She didn't take the job. 🙁

That's not what sonz70 told us 😀

hmm, very true. the hiring manager said that most of the girls are very unstable and come from broken homes. plus they are cliq-ey and you have to manage not having them together in the same room, etc. this would be a pretty difficult management position, as your typical office room is not this dramatic...

considering the amount of drugs strippers use and the amount of liquor the people who go there take in, i probabley wouldn't want to work in that kind of environment.

(yes, i am generalizing but its true..)
