gf bought a new-to-her Nissan 350Z

Following my S2000 purchase, the gf decided it was time to replace her 95 Accord.

We did our research and brought home a 2006 Touring 6-speed manual in whatever they call the gunmetal silver with 56K miles for $16,750 before t/t. The interior is typical Nissan flimsy plastic, so that isn't in the best shape, but mechanically the car is strong and the body is excellent for the mileage. The engine is great, of course, and the ride and NVH are acceptable for a daily driver. Clutch is light and easy to modulate. Shifter feels rubbery compared to the S2000 but is okay compared to other cars. I wouldn't mind trading cars once in a while.

I'll add a cell pic tomorrow.

Now we're a 2 sports car couple. Back roads, watch out! 🙂

Nice to see at least one woman is willing to drive a manual still.

The guy with the Aston Martin let his girl friend drive it, and she's smoking, so there's one hawtie who can manage a stick. 😉

My wife has found convienent excuses to take my new car out daily since I picked it up last Friday. Coincidence? I think not!

don't kill any of us more seasoned drivers...just because you both bought 'sports cars' doesn't = windy road time.

Seriously. I've been doing weekly back road runs in the Bay Area for over a decade. I could practically drive them blindfolded. We also respect that it takes a long time to get acclimated to a new car's handling quirks.

So relax, Mr. "Expert."

It's cool. Sometimes corn flakes just get piss in them. 😉

<--off to eat Frosted Flakes.

There are tons of sports car deals (actually all vehicles)...I almost went to a 06 GTO for $15k...but I want to see how my car fares once I finish everything I want to do with it.

Sweet mate!

I was a passenger in a mates 350Z at a track day. The brakes are good but cook if you push it really hard (he was hammering it and only the caterhams were over taking him, sweet brembo brakes with upgraded pads). Feels fast on the track!
