Chicken Soup was my favorite after I had mine done. Make sure the soup is cold though, the hotter the liquid the more likely it is to dissolve any scabs and fuck you up.

Also I got the dissolvable stitches, I didnt specifically ask for them I didnt even think about that but I am grateful he did it because I would have hated to go back to have stitches removed.

I was really quite pleased with how well my operation went. I had two teeth on the upper jaw coming out at about 45 degree angle pointed out (towards my cheek). Then the bottom two were buried in the gum, bent 90 degrees pointed towards my front teeth and were in fact pushing my other teeth. It was a disaster and I didnt want to think about what he had to do to get those out.

I remember waking up and they were still working on me, just finishing up one of my upper teeth. Of course I was in a daze but I vaguely remember a slight sensation of my upper tooth being ripped out of its socket and I definitely remember the sound it made... ugh.

But post op was great, no problems. But I did need a few days to recover it was a big job...

I guess I was fortunate. I never had them pulled when I was young. Over the years, they've gone bad, one at a time, (one was perfectly fine but was crowding the adjoining molar and created issues with my bite in the back of my jaw) I'm nearly 60 and still have one perfectly healthy wisdom tooth...(I guess that means I'm down to 25% wisdom) 🙁

I just got back from the surgery. My mother had to drive me home.

I would say it was a success, but my whole lower face is in numbness/pain. I am waiting for numbness to subdue so I can finally eat! I am starving!

Generally, erupted ones will be easier to extract than those which have not (less cutting and work involved).

Might be easier, but the pain is less if they are still under the skin. The "hole" left by the one they removed that had erupted was a source of pain and blood far more than the two that just needed stitches (which I felt zero pain from).

The level of pain would probably be more dependent on how the extraction itself goes. As far as that goes, ones which are erupted tend to be less involved. That said, some people's experiences are sure to differ.

My wisdom teeth were way the hell back there. The surgeon cut the side open, broke the booth, and extracted the pieces. One would think the recovery would suck but it was simple and painless.

Seems the only pain people experience is dry socket, and most people don't experience that, fortunately.

Got mine pulled today. Took all of 35 minutes. Just used local anesthesia and didn't feel a thing. Sitting now with gauze in my mouth. hopefully the bleeding stops soon and i dont have much pain after the numbness goes down.

I do not have much pain, but 48 hours after, I am still bleeding, a lot. D:
