getting windows update without internet

i have a desktop that has no internet access, but laptop which does. how can i download windows updates onto the laptop for the desktop? the desktop is a new win2k sp4 install ... thanks!

If no one can tell you how, you can always get free cds from Microsoft with the updates. 😉

Download updates from Microsoft's Download Center. Burn to cd, transfer over network, crossover cable, external hd, or whatever you have.

I believe you can get SP2 on CD, however.

Why? SP2 contains all the updates that the old update CD used to have. Just order SP2 on CD and you'll be set:

That's what I thought, but wouldn't it be smarter to just direct people going to that page to the sp2 page? 😛

Good to know for sure though. I've got the cd, I just need a copy of XP now... 😀
