When i load wow, it's all messed up.
Screeny 1

but not all of the graphics is messed up. notice the text for the movie file is all weird but the other wow text isn't.
screeny 2

only certain texts in browsing is artifact. majority of browser is fine.
screeny 3

so....what could be my problem? when i first boot up the comp, the black screen that has all the comp info has artifacts all over it. same with the windows screen with the little bar in the middle. but when i load up my bios (hit delete), that blue screen is fine. if there is problems before windows load, does that mean that software is NOT the problem?

Almost same thing happened to my video card a few months ago, the ATI Radeon 9800 Pro. The memory got corrupted.

When my computer started there were these colorful boxes and other artifacts on the screen. Then when I try to go online, the screen starts to mess up. When I move my mouse around, it creates an even bigger mess by spreading the colors around and spreading the little pixel dots around.

But sometimes it all would go away. That was only temporary and the lines and boxes would come back again. There were lines running vertically across the screen.

I got the card replaced and its been ok since, thankfully.

What card do you have?

I have a similar problem, where not EVERYTHIN is messed up. My cursor is fine, but everything else is ugly.

This was with my BFG 7800GT OC.

that happened to a card of mine once before the powersupply died... it would artifact everything really bad. Finally one day it wouldnt turn on, I replaced the PS, and it worked fine after that.
