My geforce 2 seems to be crippling monitors, so I need a replacement pronto. I'm pretty well informed (so no ATI sales pitches unless you can get me in on that Dell deal, maybe...) but I guess it comes down to:

Visiontek Geforce 3, $225 after rebate

Geforce 3 Ti 200 (Inno3d, PNY, visiontek, leadtek)

Now, I'm really strapped for cash, well, not now, but I will be with the present economy (soon to be college grad) so I'm sorta concerned about the warranty.

Inno3d, *allegedly* faster memory, crappy warranty
PNY, wildly varying reports of memory speed, LIFETIME warranty, no reports of their 2d quality at 1600X1200 though
visiontex=average, decent waranty
Leadtek, good, harder to find, software

Is a geforce 3 worth $40 more than a Ti 200? and if not, which one should I go for?

I have the Vtek gf3 runing 240/530 and have not had an issue with it!
The Ti200 is a little slower than the GF3 but not much slower so if you cant swing the GF3 get the TI and
hope it overclocks well!

I just got a PNY Ti200 ($200 at CompUSA) and it's just fine at 1600x1200x32 on my Hitachi 19" (751). I've never had 2D blurriness with Nvidia cards and I've been on board since the TNT. I haven't had a chance to really wring it out, but it's pretty speedy and we know that the Nvidia drivers are pretty dialed, unlike a certain Canadian company's drivers. (ahem)

I'm thinking of going with the GF3 TI200 myself. If I can sell my V5 I'll jump on one in a sec.

Evidently the gainward has 4.5ns memory (from the manufacturer's site). I think I'm going to take my chances with the PNY for $179 + free shipping and newegg.

The Leadtek is better. It is an awsome card. It has the fastest memory, and can oc past stock gf3 levels. It has the best heatsink for further ocing, and the software support is really cool. You can increase and decrease the speed of the fan on the card through the software.
