Getting upgrades

My friends Abit socket 478 motherboard just died. He is going to sell his CPU and videocard and buy a new Opteron and DFI board and PCIe card.

Are these good choices?:
X850XT PCIe $209 (I thought this was a sweet deal?)
DFI nF4 SLI Infinity $110
Opty 146 $199

Yep it should, I don't really see the use of the SLI motherboard, but the price isn't bad so why not...(personally I would go for the Epox 9npa+ Ultra.)

Yea, SLI is useless as one next gen card outperforms or performs equally with 2x the last gen. In addition 2 cards = 2x the power requirements and noise if you hate noise. hardly efficient.
