Cuba, NY is near Buffalo? Where is it?

Search for a place under maps in expedia. Cuba, NY appears to be slightly to the left of the middle of nowhere. Actually it seems to be in the southern part of "upstate" near the PA border.

P.S. 49k is half of the 20% downpayment on a 3 bedroom in these parts.

How much was the deal? You probably had a huge downpayment. I can't imagine paying <$1K for a mortgage...mine's almost $1,800 for a 7-1ARM for 30yrs

Be thankful you don't live the DC metro area! I was **OVERBID** by $35K on a townhouse that sold for **$50K** over the list price. And that was March of last year. Even the "cheap stuff" over in Maryland has appraised 70% in just the last three years. The wife and I got a condo in July, but if we sell, we won't be able to afford anything in the area.
