Getting Static Electricity out of pants

Ok..

This sucks. I grabbed a pair of dress pants this morning for work, and I'm finding out they have a ridiculous amount of static charge to them. They are black, and I'm covered with hair, dust, and all kinds of crap. It's very visible too. Anything I can do to release the charge?

You can put lotion on your legs to stop them from sticking to your legs.
It might dissipate the charge on the outside too.

If this is an ongoing problem, get a small pump bottle, like you'd find with a sample size of hairspray. Fill it with distilled water, and carry it with you. Spritz as necessary. It's cheap and effective.

Rub them over something that's grounded - kitchen faucet or something. It'll take a bit of rubbing to give them enough contact. (I just did this in a lab in physics class today; worked well enough.)

Now I'm picturing a bunch of people standing around the OP's legs with pith balls on a string.

if you have access to dryer sheets, you can rub them on the inside of the legs ( in case they leave marks )

walk around touching various metal parts of electronics ( usb ports / trs jacks / etc. ) and report back if they've failed.

I normally use dryer sheets but I apparently forgot this round. I'm at work, no dryer sheets around. I just made a paper towel damp and rubbed it over my legs, and lightly wiped my pants with it.. seems to have helped.
