Getting smokey smell out of case

I just got a killer deal on a g4 400mhz , however it came from a HEAVY smoker, and i'm trying to get the stinch out. I tried using my air compressor to get out all the dust. Any suggestions.

Thanks
Marshall

Hurry throw a pitcher full of water on top of it! Oh wait it's not on fire and you arent docsmarts 😛

Febreeze will do the trick for the outside, as for the inside you can't do much but just let it air out by itself. You could try wiping most of the surfaces on the inside with alcohol, being totally careful and making sure it's totally dry next time you turn it on. I wouldn't try wiping anything on the motherboard pcb or anything you think would get damaged. The case is the only thing you can really safely clean with alcohol and any other cleaner.

OMG will he ever live this down! ok for the smoking problem burn a few incents in the case that'll do the trick!

I woudl totaly dis assimble it and give the case a good cleaning with water (if you take all the electronics out) or alcohol. I would attemp to replace the psu beucase it is probably full of that tar dust. You will never get that cleaned out. I guess you could put a air freshener behind the psu fan. 🙂
