You and your coworkers discuss confidential stuff too much. I'd fire all of you for being gossipy little bastards.

The OP's situation is the reason companies don't want employees telling each other what they make.

Let me take some time to contribute to this thread.

OP, you're a dumbass. You have one option... find another job - don't bother with all the bullshit. You got taken by 100% pay and didn't realize it.. wow, just wow. My vote for 0wnage of the year.

The bottom line is this. Before day one on the job, you and your manager entered into an agreement and you accepted by taking the job. You pledged to do certain tasks and he pledged to pay you a certain amount for the effort.

If you now find you are unhappy, then take the experience you have gained and apply somewhere else. If the manager asks why you are leaving, tell him the reason but do it with dignity. Don't act scorned or angry. Simply realize you are no longer satisfied in your situation and move on.

You accepted the job and accepted the wage they offered you. If you now want a raise because you feel that you aren't being treated fairly, that's fine. But back pay? Yeah right.

Just like a cry baby professional athlete who signs a contract for X years at Y pay but then sees someone get more than him so he cries and whines and throws a temper tantrum because now he wants a new contract even though he was in full agreement with the one he signed when he signed it.
