Getting rid of listing in add/remove

Hi all,

I am using winxp pro and there is possibly a program or two in the add/ remove in the control panel that I want remove. The program has already been uninstalled but it still lists it there. It could be something freaky when I upgraded to xp from 98 without doing a clean install. 🙁

There used to be a way to remove it in win98 through tweakui but I don't see that in the xp edition.

Any thoughts.

Thanks.

Use "Regedit" or in XP "Regedt32"
"HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Current Version\Uninstall"-find the listing in the "Uninstall" folder that corresponds to the program that you are trying to remove from the list, delete that listing only and it will be gone from the "Add Remove Programs" list.
