OK so is there some universal switch you can put at the end of all your game shortcuts that will take you directly to the game menu after you double click the icon? Sure i like to watch the beginning parts one or two times, but after that, I hate sitting there:

A) clicking mouse repeatedly
B) randomly mashing spacebar and/or enter
C) mashing ESC continuously

Is there a compiled list somewhere for all games? I especially hate looking at the Nvidia TWIMTBP screens over and over, i have no brand loyalty, just let me play the game!

specifically i'm talking about call of duty, SW:KotOR, all iterations of UT, Q3... etc...

Some games have switches you can add to the command line (ie, like -nointro), but it varies from game to game. Off the top of my head, MS and Valve (Halflife) are the only two that I know do this.

Just do a search for "command line switches" on the games you want, or check the readme.txt files.

It varies from game to game, adding +restart 1 to the shortcut of Battlefield 1942 & expansions is the only one I remember off the top of my head.

for BF1942 there is +restart 1 and for Q3 I know there is something similar....as for KOTR...no idea. No there is no universal way, it depends on the game. Unless it's a game I don't want to play anyway, it will let me disable the intro movies.

Oh I hate splash screens with a passion...all those ESC hits over the years leads to RSI!

Just out of curiosity, do console games have similar splash screen annoyances (don't own a modern console myself)?
