My grandfather has one of these, and after playing with it I have come to one decision : not worth the money.

My advice is get a membership to the gym, much better return on your $. If you don't want to for some reason, go with a universal type machine.

From what I've heard, it makes an excellent clothes hanger after about a week...

Save your money.

O.K., any advice for an alternative home gym? My wife and I have tried gym memberships and it just doesn't happen.

Get a power rack, there pretty good. Im planning on getting one myself. Most of them have safety bars so you can lift without a spotter around, and you can do squats and bench exercises on them. If you dont know what im talking about then just do a search on google and you should find some good info on them.

It'll bruise your ego and then build your muscles.

More like, it'll bruise you pocketbook, then make a nice clothes hanger.

Can anybody honestly tell me that you can't get in shape at home without exercise equipment? I used to use only two dumbells until I realized that even they were unnecessary. Take your wife and walk/run 1 hour everyday. Do pushups, pullups, squats, and other stuff. Save your money!
