So far I'm going to have:
1. Pitchers and pitchers of margaritas
2. Keg of Dos Equis Lager
3. Homemade Authentic Beef Enchiladas
4. Homemade Authentic Pork Tamales
5. Chicken Quesadillas
6. Queso Dip, Salsa, and Chips
7. Plenty of Ice for Icing down Coronas
8. A Pinata filled with candy (what else should I fill it with?)
9. Some Mexican Music to add to the ambiance

I'll be sure to post pictures of the party.... Anyone need directions? PM me. :) It starts at 5:30pm.

Thanks for the invite, but a tough commute. I'm fairly sure that my friends and I throw exactly the same party in Connecticut though. Other than the pinata the menu is almost exactly the same. Booze is Dos Equis amber and Corona and LOTS of tequila for Margaritas and the food is always tacos, nachos, quesadillas etc. Mostly it's just an excuse to have a party. We eat, drink and play volleyball all day.

my favorite mexican restaurant closes on may 9th, so as hectic as its going to be, im going to try and get a seat there with some friends to have a last hurrah.

and also to whoever celebrates cinco de mayo... try expanding your horizons and try something new other than a 'corona with a lime' (blech!). there are other fine mexican beers such as bohemia or negra modelo. and a margarita doesnt always have to be blended... in fact, i would much rather have a margarita on the rocks. and if you decide to go really special and drink tequila, a nice bottle of patron goes a long way (and makes for a long night ;) ).

where can I get good tamales in the Oakland, ca area or cheap tacos! I don't like paying $1.25 or 1.50 for a taco!

Cinco de Mayo: a lame excuse for white people to get drunk since 1862. :p
There's no such thing as a lame excuse to drink....unless it has something to do with having too many wine coolers in your fridge...
I'm sorry, but CdM is lame. Americans can't stand Mexicans for the most part, but they're all about making themselves sick on Margaritas and salsa once a year. :p

lol,it's Margaritaville around here from memorial day clear thru labor day :p

*checks flights to chattanooga*

I think I could drink enough of that free booze to cover the cost of the flight...
Considering the Dos Equis keg was $135, you're probably right. Flights to chattanooga will be cheapest on Delta most likely. There are connections from O'hare, Atlanta, D.C.(Reagan), NY (La Guardia), and Charlotte.

How about I just buy a seat for the keg and you send it over here?
It'd never make it there....there would be pilots on the plane.

I get to study for a test on Friday, yay!

otherwise, I'd be drinking like any other thursday night. Though, it is a friend's 21st on the 6th, so I may have to go out after midnight for a bit.
