Getting raped

A station a block from my house has regular for $2.79. Quite a good price, especially in the heart of Long Island!

Apparently it's the cheapest in town - there's always lines of 15-20 cars waiting to fill up when I drive by on my way home from work. Everywhere else is AT LEAST 15-20 cents more expensive (most places are lots higher than that).

On Route 109 and 110, there are a lot of places that have it for $2.83-2.87. $2.83 is the lowest I have seen it though.

It's the Gulf on the corner of 107 + Jerusalem...

I avoid 110 (take the parkways to and from work) and never have much reason to go on 109. Where I work (Melville) the gas is the worst. $3.25+ is the norm up that way..

W00ters.

LOL....classic. They've got us to the point we are happy when gas is just under $3/gallon.

Yipee...

interesting to see if this thread gets locked because of the Title 😕

I remember a thread called "I just got raped" about some math test or something that got locked because of the "offensive" title

Agreed.

There are people though who are barely making ends meet, and the extra cost of gas makes it even harder. Add into that the cost of home heating oil and such with winter on the way, and it's rough.

I mean, oil went up $4 before Rita was even a hurricane, or even hitting Florida...
