Getting Outback for Dinner Tonight

While I like the food it is no longer worth it to eat there. The portions sizes have been cut way back. You can't even get full.

Oh and the prices have been raised a dollar across the board. I checked with my old Outback menu.

If I'm paying $14 for dinner I want an orgy in my mouth and a stuffed bellah.

But you have a gift card what do you care.

Dude, get the bloomin' onion. Those things are the bomb!

Man, I haven't had one of those in years. I remember really liking them.

Wikipedia suggests it might have over 2200 calories. I'm pretty sure I've taken down an entire one of those things in college. Ouch.

Yeah, they are really bad for you but one every once in a great while isn't going to kill you.

Outback is okay but they're overpriced. It's a "okay" steak at best that poses as a premium steak.

Actually they are pretty cheap compared to higher end steakhouses. But I wouldnt even consider it an "okay" steak.

I think the most expensive steak at Outback is probably around $30. I had a much smaller cut (filet) at Old Homestead for more than double that.

But as the saying gos, you get what you pay for

Not always true. Longhorn steakhouse in TN had a wonderful 26 oz porterhouse for like $28. Well worth the price. I just went to a fancy place with a $100 gift certificate. We ended up spending another $100 and I cant say that my experience was better.

When I traveled for work alot, we would hit up the Outback at least once in each city... they're all the same... and pretty consistent.

We'd always get... Outback special (I forget what cut this is), baked potato, a salad and 2 beers all for under $30 (which was the cutoff for needing a receipt on our expense report).

It's been a couple of years since I traveled regularly though.

Agreed. I'd like to see if I can still eat the entire thing. No Outback that I know of around here, but I did see them show how they make it on Food Network. I have a deep fryer, might need to give it a shot.
