Getting "not enough memory to perform...blah blah blah tasks" in WinME. Please help, How do I fix this crap?"

I built a comp for my gf but now it is acting kinda wack. When she tries to save a word document it will give her a message like " word does not have enough memory to perform the task", and will ask her to save the doc as a rescue document. After that however, she can rename that doc and access it like any other document on her computer. It worked fine for like 2 months with no problems like this.

But before that 2 months there was a similar problem which occured when she tried to print stuff. windows would give a error message like there was not enough memory to perform that task, just like that current problem. I solved that first problem by just reinstalling windows, but I don't want todo that again, and it seems like a reoccuring problem. What should I do to fix it?

sys:
duron 700
biostar mb
10gig maxtor hd
2 x generic 64 mb ram
dunno what else you need to know.

Please help! Thank you .

dump me and upgrade to a real OS.... or at the very least go back to win98se, it was better than ME...

its not worth the time of repairing man, just backup the data and get 2k or XP on it.
