well at sears, the samsung DLP 42" is $1999

at this site http://www.mpsuperstore.com/Electronics/discr158572.htm its $1415

do u think they will allow this?

My initial thought would be no.

I haven't pricematched at sears ever though.

Is this a real store in your area or just a website? Is that an authorized reseller? Shipping to my location is like $250 on that item... so in my experience they would at least figure that into the cost.

I got the 50" Samsung DLP for $1999 + free shipping + $100 rebate (chubby-billfold) from Buy.com a few weeks ago. Best TV EVER!

I was at costco a couple weeks ago and noticed a 50" DLP LCD w/ Stand for under 2k. Not a bad deal...especially with Costco's return policy.

I worked at Sears. Price match is only to local competitors. No online companies unless they have a B&M store in the area

I can't believe you said that Plasmas need to be recharged. Who the hell told you that?!?

EVERY technology has it's pros and cons. YOU need to do more research before deciding on anything. I have a CRT based HDTV and I love it. The picture is excellent.

I'm waiting at least another year before I switch to one of the newer technologies.

If you want to play video games make sure you research the lag that occurs on some sets, burn-in issues, and the ghosting/smearing that bothers some people.

The fact is there is no best set. If there was everyone would be buying that one set. The best TV is the one that's best for you.
