Hey guys, yesterday i built a new pc:

Antec Sonata III w/500w
Gigabyte x58 UD3R 1.6pcb
i7 920 D0 stepping with stock fan
OCZ Gold PC3-12800 CL8 6gb 3x2gb
EVGA 250 GTS 512mb
Hitachi 500gb

Loaded Win7 Ultimate 64 bit fine, installed all my apps, tranferred all my data, ran memtest overnight for 7 hours. When i run Prime95, it fails on random threads on either blend/or large FFT after about 10 mins. Passes Small FFTs for hours, didn't have enough time to run it overnight. I tried turning Turbo mode off the cpu, ram with 1066 speed and SPD Timings, 1600 speed with 1.64v CL8. No luck.

Any ideas on what could be the problem? Any help highly appreciated!

What is your vqpi voltages? You may need to add more for the integrated MHC on Core i7s.

What are your temps under load?

Use Real Temp or Core Temp.

i actually just tested each ram stick, i had 1 bad, and didn't come up bad in Memtest 4.0, just prime95 after about 3 mins. I looked on the OCZ forums and it looked like there were a lot of people having problems with either 1 or 2 sticks, i tried every memory setting their support listed, no go. I took the OCZ back and got Corsair XMS, priming for 15mins as i type this :)

Which was weird my temps were going around 75-80 with the old ram, this is topping at 70. Everytime i go cheap i always regret it.
