this is the sorta thing that makes me realize that "Santa" should not only give toys to good little boys and girls but also have the ability to take them away if they aren't appreciative of what they get. If I were your parents and i saw this posting i would be sickend by my punk kid, take away any semblance of a computer/car/life you had and make you EARN that gift card to get even a POS emachine.

Considering the average age I've noticed in this particular forum, there's a good chance I'm older than you, in case you wanted to continue to run your mouth about me being a punk kid. I think you and your other friends are missing the point that I appreciate the fact that they gave me a gift, but didn't use their better judgement in doing it. They don't realize I'd end up spending more money using this gift card and buying a laptop there, then if I were to buy one online. Perhaps you can understand my frustration now. I originally posted on here to get an answer about what to do about this dilemma, because I don't want them to feel like they screwed up.

Then again, I'm not sure why I even bothered to respond, it's probably past your bedtime.

i don't understand why someone would give a gift card rather than cash. there is absolutely no benefit to a gift card.
