My deepest condolences.
If you haven't been through the ceremony yet, it's not too late to RUN FOR THE HILLS!!
If you've already "tied the knot," then you've already been fitted with the old ball & chain. It'll probably chafe for a while, but take heart, the chafing doesn't last long. You'll build up scar tissue.
In my almost 35 years of marriage to the same woman, I've learned a few things.
1) the best way to get the last word in a fight or disagreement is to say "Yes dear."
2) I am the boss in my house and have her permission to say so.
3) On the occasion when the dinner she prepares doesn't turn out perfectly, eat it any way and tell her, "Just right."
I've eaten some TERRIBLE "experiments" over the years. MOST turn out well,, (she's a great cook and even better baker) but once in a while.....<gag & puke>
4) Don't buy into the "Never go to bed mad" bullshit. If you do, you'll only have a lot of sleepless nights.
5) Accept the fact that quite often, even when you're right, YOU'RE WRONG! It's a fact of married life...just accept it.
