May not be worth fixing. You could still use it as a file server or to back up some data. On my Intel DG35EC I can play games like Ages of Empires. The problems are often the ability to access More RAM and use larger hard drives. If you had a newer computer with the right processor you could run XP in virtual mode and run all the 16 bit games you want. Never tried that myself. I think it would make a computer vulnerable to virus and worm attack.
It would be nice if win 7 just had a 16 bit compatability mode like XP has.
