OK, I've googled the hell out of this to no real avail. I hear LHC won't run in BOINC on Windows anymore, need to run Linux or a VM now. True? So I try to run Boinc with VirtualBox installed, but that doesn't seem to alleviate the issue. The Googling seems to suggest that after installing BOINC with VB, you just attach the project and you're golden! Not for me, anyway. I'm now of the mind that you need to install Linux in the VM, and install BOINC on that Linux distro. Am I close?? Been having trouble getting BOINC installed on Debian 12 on the VM so far, my Linux experience is from like 10-15 years ago. Appreciate any help.

Well you should be running WCG helping us in the Pentathlon lol

But no. You just install boinc and VBox. You don't need to create any VMs. BOINC will download the work and create its own VM for the tasks using VBox. It's recommended to download the BOINC + VBox package and install both with the same installer.

Your host now says VBox is installed and virtualization is enabled
"Virtualbox (7.1.8) installed, CPU has hardware virtualization support and it is enabled"

You can run VBox tasks like Atlas/CMS/Theory from Windows. Have you enabled them from the project preferences, besides just SixTrack?

Not as yet, but I may try, to verify working-ness.
