Getting Harassed By Mod

There are mods here who make very hostile public posts in P&N. That being the case, it's no surprise mods also send hostile PM's to people whose opinions they don't like. There are really people modding here who are not really mod material. Some of you know who I mean. On the other hand some mods are excellent. Overall I think P&N runs well all things considered.

If you have a complaint about the actions of a particular moderator , send a PM to AnandTech Moderator with specifics. Otherwise this is just unfounded kvetching.

So what are you trying to accomplish here? You seem to be calling out at least one mod, but you are not calling them out by name. My advice FWIW is to not bait the mods. You have essentially baited and flamed every mod in P&N seeing as you have not revealed who you are talking about in particular. :light:

Can't agree about baiting mods. Anyone with any sense can see a certain few mods insulting people and being hostile - very unmodlike behavior. Mods should be above the fray somewhat and not going into it whole hog - they are meant to represent the site and not their "opinions". There are other private PM's about specifics -otherwise it makes no sense to say I am bating mods by not naming them personally. I mean I can if that is SOP but making it personal and public seems more like baiting. It's no surprise to many here that there might be a couple P&N mods harassing people they don't agree with

See obviously you feel comfy in a hostile post that mods will support you in - nothing I ever posted even comes close to such-like. You should be getting harassing PM's from mods and not me. It's all quite clear. It seems being "elite" around here doesn't call for much - except who you know and agree with"? Thanks for magnificent illustration.

Well under you name it says "Elite Member". On 97% of sites I post on if a member posts hostile posts to others calling them uneducated dumbfucks they encounter moderation. On this site however it seems quite OK for people of a clear political perspective (including some obvious mods) to be able to call people names at will - morons, dumbfucks, brainless, uneducated, racist, redneck, primate, etc. Over and over the same people get to insult others with no moderation at all. But say something political some liberal mods don't like and they (same ones calling names) send threatening PM's. Your post is a great example of the liberties some people here feel free to take.

If that's true, contact AnandtechModerator and leave it to them. I seriously doubt there's any Truth to it though.

If you are being threatened with a banning it is a warning you are doing something wrong and changes are you know what it was.

I have talked to moderators. I also get PM's from people saying they are moderators who I don't recognize. Posting in public keeps it more above board. I have nothing to hide and can support all my words and could do it all in public if mods desire. There are people in this thread that should be banned since they are worse than me. Obviously they have grown comfy in their wayward ways. Your part of that as well . This place needs a sweep out imo.

Yes - my wrong is posting conservative views in forum with mods hostile to such. Libs here can call people names 24/7/365 and it's not a problem - see above for confirmation.

I really doubt a Mod would PM you using a different name other than their mod name.....hmmm

What is scary is that you tyry to enlist the help of objective people when 90% of your postrs are far from being objective...lol
