I ended up moving to Vancouver about 7 years ago but I do miss London.

Is snow squall a Canadian term? I have never heard it before in my life. Wikipedia references Canada so I'm guessing it is.

Where ya' from? I'm guessing it's an area where it doesn't happen often, if at all. The weather can go from sunny to whiteout in a matter of a minute.

it is used mostly by those living in or around the Great Lakes.

Its the same as Lake Effect Snow.

that was the worst squall I have ever seen. That is the storm that shut my city down. We received more than 1 meter of snow.

That was our snowmageddon in 2010.
