Getting Ghost 7.5 to work

Ok. Here's the background. I have computer #1, acting as the ghost server. Computer #2 is where I'm dumping the image from, to the server, and computer #3 is the client recieving the ghosted image. All three computers are running the same version of ghost, are all on the same physical hub, and all are on the same subnet. Neither client PC can see the the server. The server can ping the two clients, and see them fine, and the client PC's pick up the IP of the server, but cannot connect to the session. What am I doing wrong?

Are you trying to create an image and send it out at the same time? During a session you either create (dump) an image or send it out but not both.

yeah, i know. I just tested the client for PC3, to see whether or not it was just my image computer that was FUBAR'd. Neither client can see the server session at all.

Are you running an anti virus or firewall on the ghostcast server?

ghostcast can be using multicast, which could be blocked by firewalls on the server or client. One thing you can do is download mcast.exe and start mcast in the OS on one pc, and recieve the mcast on the other.

I bet you the multicast is the problem with the anit-virus. Stupid MCaffe and EPO agent...

I'm betting you're correct... which is why I asked. I've noticed the the new version of McAffee (8.0 I think) prevents Ghostcast from connecting... Once it's disabled, everything works again..
