Of course Cox would say not to use FiOS, they want to keep people on their cable lines.

im in a fairly new community as well im wondering why they didnt just pipe fiber through before putting all of our homes up

I don't care too much which is technologically better, I just want the one that will give me the best speeds for the best price. In most cases that is probably FIOS, but in my area very few people have cable internet it seems so Comcast is very fast for the price.
