When I run outdoors for speed, this happens more in cold weather, but I tend to get extremely thick saliva and it makes it extremely hard to swallow or spit :snicker:

I do breathe through my mouth when I'm going full tilt, this is usually only a issue after a mile or so of running.

It goes away when I'm done running almost immediately

Are you sure it's saliva? Or could it just be migrating mucus from the lining of the throat? Do you have any coughing after exercise?

ooh gross, you may be right . I constantly have some nasal drainage and uts just something ive learned to deal with , it is worse in cold weather when i work up a sweat. The taste..is more or less that combination if snot and saliva, its not the bitter taste you get from acid reflux.

I suppose if it gets worse i will see a doc but i never want to go on meds again, i was on medicine for 10 years to get rid of it and it did nothing, i dont see that changing again

I also have alot of deep coughing ( fluid in lungs) after an extremely heart pounding run

It actually sounds like exercise-induced asthma. Coughing after exercise, at any intensity, actually isn't normal. You mentioning that the cold aggravates it pretty much solidifies that. If you go to the doctor, they can send you to do some spirometry tests (breathing tests) before, during, with albuterol, etc. Go talk to your doctor about it though. Uncontrolled asthma results in degeneration of the lungs over time so it's better to get it checked out and treated than leave it alone.

the only symptom i share is wheezing, lung power and breathing is excellent, i have no chest pain. I have no uncontrollable cough, but the wheezing is the cause of some of it. Its not a TON of coughing, but enough where i have to eject some fluid from there

Will def keep an eye on it, asthma is nothing to mess around with!

Edit: should also say this doesnt happen when i am doing ither extrenouis activity such as a three or four mile curcuit training run where i run from station to station

Yeah, wheezing isn't normal and anything outside of clearing your throat briefly or actually having a cold isn't normal. I'd bet the circuit slows you down just enough so that your body doesn't react so strongly. I notice that when I do raw sprinting without any other component to my workout, I can much more easily elicit symptoms. Go get it checked out relatively soon. It will help prolong your fitness abilities in life.
