Getting cash off of Pre-paid Visa Gift Cards

I recieved a $300 Simon (VISA) gift card for my birthday, and I was wondering if anyone knew of ways to get the money off the card and into my bank account. The below was the best thing I could think of:

1.) Attach the "credit card" to my PayPal account
2.) PayPal $300 from the card to another account (someone I trust, a lot)
3.) That person PayPal's me back the money
4.) Transfer my PayPal balance to my bank account

Does that make sense? Will it work? Other options?

EDIT: What are the chances of an ATM working? The card does have a PIN. It may cost $1.50 or something for the ATM fee, but it'd be worth it.

I tried everything humanly possible, its impossible.

There is no address attached to the card, therefore you won't be able to use it anywhere online, including Paypal. They all check the address attached to the card.

Just curious but why don't you just use the card?

I'm trying to get the cash off of it for two reasons:

1.) So I can spend it at places that don't take credit/debit cards (cash only) or don't take VISA
2.) So I can avoid the $2.50/mo service charge on the card balance (rip off huh)

I used a VISA gift card and bought half-life2 through steam.

One way to do it is see if any of your friends want to make a large purchase to just give you cash and you'll buy it.

There usually isn't a pin number associated with the card either.

Yeah, there sometimes is a PIN that you have to enter when you call to check your balance

[*]ATMs with credit cards typically have a 3% fee for cash, and there may be a per transaction fee. So if it works in an ATM you are looking at about a $10 loss. I don't know if an ATM will work.
[*]If ATMs don't work you can just take it to your personal bank. Still stuck with the ~3% fee, but no ATM transaction fee. Probably will work, although I've never tried it. Looking at $9 loss this route.
[*]You can buy something in a store and return the item. Usually that won't work as they'll give you a store gift card instead. You of course can sell that gift card, but you are also probably looking at a 10% loss there (most people won't pay face value for a gift card).
[*]You can buy what you want online or in a store instead of your source that won't take a CC. Virtually everything can be found somewhere else and somewhere else will accept the CC.
[*]You can use the CC for your normal everyday purchases and then use your normal everyday cash to buy what you want.
[*]If you have no normal everyday purchases, buy the next thing your friends want for them and have them give you the cash value.
[*]Just sell the CC to a friend/relative. Give them a little discount to be nice.
[*]Ask the CC company to close the account. Typical fee is $15 but you'll get cash.
[*]Buy something and sell it. If you buy a hot deal from the hot deals forum, you may possibly even profit.
[*]Still thinking.
