Getting AT&T @Home service ..... some questions

hey, gunf1ghter, be wary of what you hear about @home service, I've had great service from them, it really depends on the local cable company, and how good they are. i never have mail outages, only had a service outage when i messed up the cable modem switch thingy that connects the coax to cat 5 that they install.

For some reason, the mail server kicks back a user/password invalid message even when I set everything up correctly in Outlook. Call tech support and that is what they tell me. "We don't support Outlook", their extact word. Try it with Outlook Express, then it works fine. BTW, @home used your computer name, Cxxxxxx-x, and something else to verify you are their customers (DHCP domain maybe?). Two computers -> router -> cable, and only one (the one where the tech first install the modem. Have to wait for him to leave before I put in the router. :D ) is able to get the email in Outlook Express. Set it up the same for the other computer and I couldn't access the mail. I could send from both computer but able to receive from only one. Weird I tell you. :disgust:
