getting another hsf?

i bought a vantec aeroflow last week, but the temp is still the same with the stock hsf provided by amd. i am hoping to buy thermalright. what model should i get? im on a budget i can't afford the slk900. and what fan should i get?

Here's a tip....even the best HSF out there isn't going to give you a drastic reduction in temps. The point is the bigger heatsink allows for a bigger, more quiet fan. The thermalright SK7, AX7, SLK800 are all fine choices, and will all cool within a degree or two of one another. I prefer the AX7 with low speed fans (anything under 25cfm), the SK7 with medium speed fans, and the SLK800 (u/bolt on version) if your board/budget support it.
 
Check out that new quiet thermalright one at SVC. Someone had a thread on it. It was like 21dBA and 25.7cfm IIRC

Agreed, it may not lower your temp, but it will allow you to run more CPU intensive apps and maintain a suitable temp.
 
i only have one case fan and it is exhaust. it has no other slots to put the fans in. do you think i should buy a new case first before buying out a fan?
 
i mean do you think i should buy a new case first that has holes so i can put fans first before i put a new hsf in?
