Getting air INTO an Antec Sonata case

Greetings...
got my Antec Sonata case ( love it btw) with my AMD64 3200 Winch and Neo2Plat mobo. I am using the stock 380 true power supply and hope all is well. I installed a second 120mm fan that blows air directly on my 2 IDE drives... but my question is such -- how does my case get air in? I have the standard 120mm fan in the back under the power supply so that is blowing out and also the fan from the PS blows out but I have nothing in the front that is sucking air in? I also found that there is a power connecter that is marked fan only and had that connected to the 120 in the back. I could never even hear my case but the temp with my system oc'ed would reach 54C on full play. Then I plugged that fan to a regural power connector and now it sounds like a jet engine but the temp went down to 44 C which is insane!! Anyhow still wondering how if anyone has moded their case or done something to get air INTO the case from the front or from under or if I even need it.

Thanks

Bobo

hey Bobokatt, i also have antec sonata case ( i love it also btw); just to let you know its not the best case for overclocking purposes. Antec designed/concentrated on one purpose: silence. The case overall (if you do not plan on overclocking stock components) is excellent; price, clean looks, antec power supply, and quiet working environment are what you get from this case. If you plan on modding this case, (get a front opening, etc) you are sacrificing the "silence" and would probably be better off to get a case more suited for overclocking (more fans, liquid cooling, phase cooling, etc). I have no gripes about the case; i absolutely love it, but i do plan on overclocking my components so I will have to also look into purchasing another case. hope that helps. btw i've owned this case for about 2 years w/ no problems.

Dcrew you are right on. I think i got away from what I originally got this case for... which was silent or near silent operation. I am toying with the idea of just adding more fans inside to improve air circulation and as long as they are low noise ones thus far the increase in noise has been almost nill. Hum I might just consider getting a second rig and using that to "play" with and oc and keep this one for more modest work and graphics use.

Thanks
