Getting ads

Hi, since yesterday , when I click a link, I am getting another page full of ads. I have adblock already installed in chrome but I think its not doing it job. I uninstalled adblock and reinstalled again but same thing.
Any ideas what to do ?

That's not so much of a fix but a work around. Check your recently installed programs and check for something you didn't install. Also check your browsers to see if the home pages have been changed or if new addons have been installed. Then download malwarebytes and do a full scan. Chances are it will pick up a lot of items.

I used super antispyware professional and it picked up some cookies and ask toolbar which it all removed .
I used malwarebytes before but I had some problems with it . It was not letting me open some pages , and after I removed it , I was able to open. Hence now using superantispyware. 🙂

If Malwarebytes was blocking some web pages, that's a pretty good sign you don't want to be accessing those web pages. It only blocks sites that are known sources of malware.

You don't have to use Malwarebytes as a full fledged malware protection. Just use the scanner portion. I use both Malwarebytes and Superantispyware and several others. Herdprotect is good too.

LOL, I had the same annoying problem like OP. AdBlock could not stop a bunch of pop ups, looks like I am going to need that blocker too. Thanks for mentioning that.
