Getting a Windows Password out of the registry

Im trying to fix a family friends computer and I need to get a password that he has forgotten. Im trying to get WalMart Connect to work and every time it loads up i get a message to change the parental controls. But here is the trouble, he cant remember the password. So my question is, is there anyway to retrieve that password from the registry or possibly reset it somehow.
