Hi.
I'm currently in the market looking for an external USB Sound Card.
I'm in a slightly tight budget and over here in Malaysia there's even less choices to choose.
So far I'm considering either of these three models:
1. ASUS Xonar U1
2. Creative X-Fi Go!
3. Creative X-Fi Surround 5.1
And my question is which one of these three gives the best value for money in terms of price, quality and performance.
I would like one that is produce better sound quality while I can switch between my home notebook and office PC.
Suggestions are very very welcomed.
=)

Value depends on how much they cost in Malaysia and how much it means to you.

If you have 5.1 speakers only #3 will support them, if this is for stereo #2 seems best value as it comes with handy storage for personal settings, bookmarks or gamesaves or whatever you are into...

Wow join date 11/29/2006 and this was your first post. That's impressive.

I don't really see the market for USB soundcards. Doesn't every board come with integrated audio? I can't imagine a USB soundcard being any better than those.

hehe. i've been around for quite some time but all this while i'll be reading the post only. i was thinking of changing to a better one than the integrated one in my notebook. and that's why i'm thinking which one to get. i'm using earphones more often than plugging into speakers actually.
