hmmm, under the specifications for the 1100AVR, it has a surge capacity of 1500joules with a maximum surge current of 36,000amps but under the 825AVR model, it has a surge capacity of 1260joules but with a much higher surge current of 60,000amps...

does this mean that the 825AVR model would be able to have a higher surge current? Is it necessary?

I have use a Belkins 1100 w/AVR. Bought will-call from m-Wave for<$110 three years ago.

It was NOS(new old stock)so when i got it home, it was plug in for a day unattached to charge up. It got quite warm,so i let it cool for a day and plugged it back in. Did that three
times before the battery seemed happy about it's new home. Old car and motorcycle repair
has lead me to do this and it seems to work.
In the last three years the battery level indicater has gone from 98% to 95%, not too bad iimho.
The most common accurance for the UPS to kick-in is when i forget and leave the air compressor switch turned on and the air leaks down, then is starts and everything dims to a dull glow.

Buy your UPS from a B&M will-call because shipping is a deal killer.

Note: I like the ldea of plugging a light into it.
