I haven't gone to an NFL game in decades. Last was probably the Rams in L.A.

Well, I'm in Berkeley, CA, and would like to get a ticket to a Raiders playoff game. They are sure to be in at least one. If the Chiefs lose tonight, the Raiders get a bye and will play at home in 3 weeks. Otherwise, it'll depend on next week and maybe some other stuff to determine who plays where and when.

I want to be prepared. How can I get a ticket, hopefully not getting scalped?

Carr broke his leg... Why would you want to spend a bunch of money watching your team lose?

Not as worthless as 9er play-off tickets this year... :p
Hey now, they're still mathematically alive. If every other team besides the Browns all fly into the side of a mountain at the same time, the 49ers will be Super Bowl bound!

You should have bought them when they went on sale. But yes, with Carr out the secondary market should be quite soft.

I figured they hadn't gone on sale yet. How could they, they don't have a schedule yet, or do they just sell tickets to games that may never happen???

Edit: OK, looking, it seems that's what they actually do, they sell tickets to "if necessary" games, etc. Well, what's the "secondary market?" Just Ebay?

Are you even trying? Stubhub, Ticketmaster, NFL Ticket Exchange, Seatgeek... the list goes on and on and on.

I probably won't. My nooby butt can't see anything less than hundreds of dollars. Call me crazy but I think the Raiders still have a good chance to go deep into the playoffs. I'll probably watch on my big screen home theater setup (projector) like usual.

Well, yeah, that's the kind of response I wanted. I've "heard" of ticketmaster, the others, no. I've never been to any of those sites.

I use stubhub for all last second purchases. So far it's worked awesome!
I'll be taking some peeks. Thanks! A huge Raiders fan I met at my gym encouraged me to go to a playoff game.

I'm 1/2 mile away from a BART station, could take the train to the Coliseum.

the creation of this thread boggles my mind. How does one not know these things?
If you took a survey of your fellow citizens I assure you that a fairly large percentage would "not know these things."

Give a guy a break. I haven't been to a professional sports game in decades. Hard to believe? Plenty of people haven't. I watch at lot on TV, it's easy and free. I went to a college basketball game maybe 10 years ago and was grossed out by all the obnoxious drunk people all around me.

I have heard stories about games selling out as fast as you can draw a breath so I figured that posting here asking for tips on how to get a ticket to the first Raiders' playoff game in 14 years (before the details of the game were determined) without paying through the nose was a reasonable thing to do. Out come the snarky ATOT holiday season brayers.

All you have to do it go to the team's website to get ticket information - http://www.raiders.com/tickets/index.html Or when you read up on them online, you'll see ads for tickets(look down on the right) - http://www.espn.com/nfl/team/_/name/oak/oakland-raiders Or use a thing called Google.

I actually don't like going to pro sports games either--I hate paying money to those cockhole billionaires that demand cities pay for their toys.

But this is what I do when such problems present themselves: I type "Raiders tickets" into google, and the world presents me with options.

Yeah OP deserves all the criticism he is getting, a simple google search would have made this thread irrelevant.

Next thing he will say is that he didn't know what google is.

If you end-up going and probably won't have access to ATOT when you get off the Coliseum BART station, follow all of the people wearing Raider's gear b/c they'll be heading to the stadium.

Sorry, but if you are on this forum, then, even if you do "not know these things," you have access to the internet and know how to use it.

AND, since you "watch a[ ] lot [of "professional sports game"] on TV", you must have seen a lot of commercials for these mythical ticket services.

You deserve what you are getting and should just take it like a man.

:D

seriously, though--I just do that anyway with herd-based events because I rarely know where I am. But, you know, years of living in a society and you tend to pick up these things.
