Stuff like that makes me miss working in the vet field, used to love when the breeders brought in a litter to get their shots.

i would call it Thor or Odin. something manly. maybe Zeus.

I was just going to call my dog "Buddy", because I'd probably just use that name regardless of what I actually call him. A female would be called "Girl", 'cause I'd always just say things like "C'mere, girl!" :p

Might as well not be confusing about it. ;)

EDIT:

Oh, and I forgot the obligatory "would snorgle" comment.

I really don't want something common but I don't want to go too obscure/weird.

no offense, but I deem Tucker a common name.

I'm not totally against a more common name, but it has to be one I like.

I've seen dogs named after Roman emperors. Many seemed to be good names. Galba, Tiberius, Nerva, Valens, Trajan and Titus all seem like good dog names.

As a teenager, I had one that was a stray before it decided to stay with me. I loved that dog. I didn't even know what breed it was until I watched Cowboy Bebop.

I suspected that CB was a factor in the recent popularity of the breed.

Did you use anything in particular to find the puppies? Every time I see 'em, I keep thinking about getting one. I've been to the animal shelter before (to look at both cats and dogs), but none of them really stuck out to me.

Although, I think with my aloof personality, I would probably be better off with something a little less active though.

I looked on national corgi club sites but the breeders there either didn't have any puppies or wanted $1000+ for one.


I looked on craigslist too but didn't see any. finally, I posted on craigslist that I was looking for one and someone sent me an email that said they saw a sign up for someone that had some for sale. I called the seller and asked lots of questions. person sounded responsible and didn't sound like a puppy mill person so i scheduled a time to visit the puppies. they were well taken care of, the people were very nice, etc.

They started out as a low to the ground herding dog that herded animals capable of kicking taller herding dogs. So even though they are short, they still are a man's dog capable of doing manly things.

If he had gotten a small wrench would you have asked if they were out of tools for men? I think not!

My brother has had a couple of corgis. They are mobile speed bumps with fur. They'll wait until you're standing anywhere, run in front of your legs, and wait for you to trip over them. In spite of that, they're pretty cool dogs. But you're going to spend a lot of time accidentally kicking it.
