I'm trying to run Max Payne 2 at 1280x1024 at 4x AA and the game went to the loading screen and crashed with a dx9 error saying that I do not have enough video memory. I tried turning off AA and lowering the resolution, but I still get the error. The same error also occurs in other games. The games do eventually run if I drop the game down to 640x480 with no AA. :disgust:
I've tried upgrading to the 3.10 Cat drivers, turning off multi-monitors, and re-installing DirectX, but so far I've had no luck. Anyone have any idea what could be causing this?
My system Specs:
Barton 2500+, 512 MB PC3200 RAM (2x256), Radeon 9800 Pro (Cat 3.10s), XP Pro SP1 with DirectX 9.0b. The Card passed all of the dxdiag video tests and the program reports the full 128 MB of ram on the card.
