Help me decide... oh another thing, I expect to spend about 30-40 bucks a month... Medium usage, not particularly heavy, but at least a coupe calls a day...

- 7% monthly discount on eligible charges
- 15% additional anytime Bonus Minutes on qualified calling plans

- You can even save if you already have an account with AT&T Wireless by attaching to XXXXXXX Foundation Account Number XXXXX. Call to take advantage of this opportunity.

COST: $34.99 - 7% = $32.54/Month

It depends on your location, I would edit your thread title to include the nearest major metropolitan city in your area.

For instance T-Mobile (VoiceStream) is awesome here in Portland, Oregon but I've heard major complaints from NY customers.

Tsaico: he has the 7 percent off because he has the W-2 benefit discount...

otherwise, the AT&T (GSM, new one) is 39.99 for 500 anytime and 1000 unlimited. Do not get the TDMA (old) AT&T (I don't think they even allow any more subscription for that)

anyways, Tsaico, you may want to ask brtspear2, dc, NuclearFusi0n1 (they all ATOT-er in UCR) and other Cell phone users in your area and see whether which Service provider has better coverage.
I would stick with either ATT GSM or Cingular or T-mobile (which the latter two will merge together)

Nextel is too expensive for personal use, it doesn't justify for the cost unless your company has a lump, corporate plan.

I vote against Sprint. It really sucks. My first phone died (manufacturer defect with the whole batch of LG-1010s) and when I called to register the new one, I got disconnected from Sprint!! When the connection is bad, instead of static you just get silence... so you can hear a pin drop.

All right, I think I will be getting At&t... Seems like everyone is pretty happy with them. I have talked to somepeople with cingular and they say it is only cool when there are no students at ucr between the quarters, otherwise, there are tons of missed calls and dropped calls between 8-10pm... thanks all
