I am not a gamer, I don't play console, but at $100 for a brand new xbox, it is too good to pass.

my friend got a xbox for her birthday from someone. she doesn't play video game at all. she wanted to sell it to me for $140, I lowballed her to $100 CASH and it was about a week ago. she didn't take my offer.

last night, she asked me if I want have it for $110. I gave her the same reply. guess what? PROFIT!
good for me, she needs money for her ski trip. :D:D:D

what should I do? here? or here? or ???

I am not a close friend with her. we happen to know some people in common and taking two same classes.

this is a win-win situation. I offer her a price that she would take and she is willing to sell it to me at that price. what's wrong with that? ;)

I don't see what is wrong with that either. It was money for a ski trip. Not money to feed her starving baby.

BTW: against my better judgement and against my negative opinions on doing it, you should take it to best buy and get store credit for it. I'm sure there is something there you have been wanting... or you could ebay the gift card and get the $150 out of it.

Well, considering you just told everybody here how much you took your friend for less than half its worth, I'd take my chances on eBay.

no i'm not.

though on second thought, considering that you didn't really want the xbox and she wasn't really a close friend, i retract my original statement

glad you're not my friend.

i was gonna post something like this but you said it better

you people are bitter and/or jealous.

How am I jealous or bitter? The fact that you lowballed your friend just so you can resell it and make more money on it is just downright rude. I guess we shouldn't expect anything better from you since you like to use stuff once and return it and get your money back. link

how much does an xbox worth? she had been looking to selling it for $120~$150, but she couldn't get a buyer. she is happy that she doesn't have to keep asking people around if they want a xbox now.

do you realize that when I try to resell it, I will have to put afford to it? she tried to resell it, but she couldn't find a buyer.

are you retard for digging up that thread? what is the point of that? it is called free rental. anyways, I didn't return the oil filter wrench, because I will need that to do oil change.

I don't understand why you're all jumping on him. She got the XBox as a birthday present. She sold it (for a profit to her) because she wasn't going to use it. He's selling it (for a profit to him) because he's not going to use it. Buying something and selling it for more than it cost you is how every business everywhere makes a profit.
