hey guys,

I just bought a 6600GT AGP card 3 months ago and now its time for the whole comp to get a revamp. I dont want to spend too much money on my comp because I only game a little bit (counter strike source and soon quake), but it will be like one upgrade every few years...and when i upgrade i do mobo/processor together.

So i was thinking going faster 754 and a nice mobo rather htan a 3000+ venice and a MSI K8N-Neo2 or something along those lines...

I have read some posts but want to hear thoughts...and it HAS TO HAVE AGP! Thanks in advance!

Any particular reasoning behind your comment? He specifically said he upgrades every few years and buys a mb/cpu at the same time. Honestly, the bang for your buck in that situation is the 754. If you don't OC you can get a nice board feature wise for probably $30-40 on these forums or refurb. For your processor I would go with something along the lines of the 3700+ ewiz deal ($160ish) + 10-15$ for a HSF.
