GET YOUR VCRs READY (tape the War)

I am getting a few videotapes ready to tape what they show on the TV before, during, and after this possible war with Iraq. I am not "calmly sitting back, relaxing, and enjoying the show", but this is a very important event for all of us, and I want to have it on tape for myself and even for my (potential) kids.

I recommend you guys do the same. You may regret not having anything later on to look back and see how well (hopefully) our soldiers did, how great our President was, and how we got rid of Saddam.

P.S. Saddam's ass gettig blown up by a 21000-pound bomb is supposed to be a beautiful sight:

Saddam: - What happen?
Soldier: - They set up us the bomb!
21000-pound bomb: - Hello gentlemen.
Bush: - All your base are belong to us![/b] 😀

Let the 'March of the Armchair Soldiers' begin....

how do you set your vcr to "start when the bombs start"?

It's the red button on the remote control. Seriously, though.. I don't want to turn this into a joke. We look back at the World War II documentary and relive the terrors of war. I don't want this one to be forgotten, either.

If your children are still around, thanks to Bush.

Keep repeating it and it might come true, eh?

I'm absolutely confident, no mantra repetition necessary.
But I do get a perverse pleasure from watching hand-wringers like you and Punjab worry. 🙂

Bullsh*t.

Even our own Intelligence agency says that in all probability, Iraq will not make a first attack on the U.S. (well.. this was about a month ago.. now its different maybe, thanks to Bush). They have no evidence linking them to terrorist organizations. From the beginning, our government made three reasons for attacking Iraq:

1)They pose a threat to their NEIGHBORS
2)They did not abide by 1441 - (which 95% of the world is saying give them more time, but we are not)
3)They may give weapons to terrorists

Okay, so according to our intelligence, they wouldn't have attacked us before, and have admitted finding NO link between Al Qaeda and Iraq, but now you can be CERTAIN that they will give weapons, support, and even send their own people to sabotage and attack this country. Think about it. Al Qaeda has suffered at the hands of America, and now Iraq is. It would take an idiot to not realize that these two will be working together from now on. Refer to the last post here.. Thats Right, start expecting to see suicide bombers in your local mall soon. Courtesy of Bush.

You are right. I AM worried. Not because I am naive or because I'm an idiot. I'm worried because most other people on here think they are living in a glass bubble and that nothing can happen to them, how quickly they forget their nights of fear and uncertainty the months after 9/11.

Actually, that probably is the reason you are wringing your hands. Hey, just admit it later on when you see you were wrong. Nah... liberals always have a bajillion kazillion excuses.

Back in 4th grade (about 15 years ago or so)... teachers bluntly said that we wouldn't want WWIII to happen because we'd all be gone if it ever did. Worldwide mass destruction. Well it's almost here and I don't feel as much fear as they led us to believe. Here's to the soldiers who are fighting on the front lines for our country...

Well, I remember my teachers saying something along those lines too, but weren't they afraid it would be a nuclear war? What he have on our hands now is a simple drop-bombs-and-go-home operation, I would hope... Of course, here's to the soldiers!

If we start war with these tards over there, I hope it's just quick and easy. Bomb the sh!t out of them and stop.

The only thing I dislike about this war is that there will be street to street, building to building fighting which will cause heavy causalities on both sides.

I firmly believe that Saddam has got to go, look what happened when the French sold a large nuclear reactor to Iraq in the late seventies, Israil bombed the hell out of it because it was going to be used to make plutonium for nuclear bombs.

Quick and easy my ass. Even if we get lucky and bagdad doesn't turn out like somalian urban conflict, we're still talking about huge amounts of money being spent after we've completely destroyed all the infrastructure. <sigh> I'm sick of paying taxes for BS.

VCR is so 80's. I'm going to wait for a directors cut DVD box.

Move, no one is forcing you to live here, do you really want Saddam to make more weapons of mass destruction ?

Don't you think that he will sell these weapons to Al quida ?

Would you feel different if your family was in one of the World Trade Towers ?

Wake up and watch the news and read some history books, most of the people in this thread are not old enough to understand what we are up against here.

Yup... and on this side of the world... I'm often wondering nowadays why there aren't any suicide bombers over here... because there are plenty of those ready and willing.

NSA
CIA
FBI
Domestic covert ops

All these where drastically curtailed because of Clinton cutting thier budgets, now that we are back on tack, these people will have a very hard time attacking us domestically, why don't you think this has not happened until 9/11 ?
